Bungo's Birthday Cake Ingredients: 50g cocoa 6 tablespoons boiling water 5 eggs 250g margarine 250g caster sugar 275g self-raising flour 3 level teaspoons baking powder 3 tablespoons milk a bit of jam
Method: Mix the cocoa and boiling water to a smooth paste in a bowl. Add all the remaining ingredients (except the jam) and mix. Grease a good non-stick baking tin and pour in the mixture. Cook in the oven for 20-30 minutes, till the sides of the cake are shrinking back and the top is springy. Leave to cool in the tin, then when it's cold, remove and spread the jam on top, in preparation for Bungo's Chocolate Icing! |
