Darling Dahl Ingredients: 1 mug red lentils 1 mug yellow split peas 1/6 creamed coconut bar 1 onion 2 dessertspoons cumin seeds 1 dessertspoon kolanji (onion) seeds
Method: Put the lentils and split peas in a big pan and add 4 mugs of water. Bring to the boil and simmer for about an hour, until the lentils and peas are soft and creamy. Add the coconut and stir in. In another pan, fry the onion and add the spices when they are almost ready. Add this to the lentil mixture. |
