World Womble Day
A 30-minute ITV special was broadcast in 1990 which showed the
Wombles using the internet to communicate around the world, and celebrating
World Womble Day (Great Uncle Bulgaria's 300th birthday).
The Wandering Wombles
A second 30-minute special shown in 1991, with the wombles
travelling around the world to tackle environmental problems and having a royal
garden party.

The New TV Series |
There were 4 series of 13 episodes (each 10 minutes long) of
the new TV series, shown on ITV in the UK from 1998. Only 14 episodes have been
released on video so far. There were also 78 short episodes (1 minute long) made
to fit in the advert breaks on TV networks which did not carry commercials.
None of these have been shown in the UK yet.
